The Faithful Citizen

The question of how to live our faith is a vital and challenging one for all religious people. It can be particularly difficult to understand this in a society like ours, which seeks to separate religion and government. Can we really compartmentalize the civic and spiritual parts of ourselves? Should we?

A Spring Whose Waters Never Fail

Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, is one of the most sacred communal events in Jewish life. It seeks in its way to do what all religions, including ours, strive to do: provide an opportunity for the faithful to engage in honest self-examination, and then to reaffirm life’s most important commitments.
